In the gender-critical design theory seminar, we examined hiking for common conventions and examined the extent to which exclusionary value judgments are anchored in professional design practice. The goal of the course was to detect structural mechanisms to avoid unintentionally reproducing outdated social images through design. Two A3 hiking maps were created as a a self-organized collaborative product.
