In the gender-critical design theory seminar, we scrutinized common conventions in hiking and explored the extent to which exclusionary value judgments are embedded in professional design practices. The course aimed to identify structural mechanisms to prevent the unintentional reproduction of outdated social images through design. As a self-organized collaborative effort, the seminar produced two A3 hiking maps.
